At Grace, ministry to our youth is a priority. There are youth activites each month that include both Middle School and High School students. Each year we attend Youth retreats at the Lutheran Student centers located at the University of Colorado or the University of Wyoming. We also attend the Higher Things Lutheran Youth Conference each summer. Grounding our youth in the Christian Faith, teaching them to serve and love others as Christ loves and serves us, and helping them to become active supporting members of the congregation is our goal.
Lutheran Valley Retreat: June 25-28th. Sign up for this traditional mountain camp experience! All the fun cap activities, and the time to dig deeper into God's Word! The pastors of the attending congregations will teach short sectionals each day. For grades 6-12, campers are divided into Middle school and High School. See more and all the activites at www.LVR.org
Higher Things Lutheran Youth Conference 2012
We are now registering for the next Higher Things Youth Conference in Maryville, Missouri July 3-6th. The theme this year is Twelve. The Lord uses the number 12. There were 12 tribes in Israel, he chose 12 men to be his disciples, 12 is His Church's number. His Church was created from his side - from the blood and water that flowed on Good Friday when he gave his life for his bride, the Church. In the Blood and Water, in Baptism and the Lord's Supper, is born the church. On the Last Day, when the Lord speaks about his church, there is His 12 once again - a thousand times over. Standing with the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world in the Book of Revelation are the baptized, his "old" 12 and his "new" 12 through all eternity. Registration will open Nov. 1st. See more at www.HigherThings.org
